  3000 B.C. Abacus Abacus is the first manual calculating device developed by the Chinese in 3000 BC. It consists of a rectangular frame having a series of vertical rods on which a number of wooden beads are allowed to slide freely. A horizontal beam of mid bar separates the frame into two sections, known as upper deck and the lower deck. On the upper deck of each rod are two beads and on the lower deck five beads are. 1.1 Introduction to Computer Key Terms to remember Computer: an electronic machine that takes input from the user and stores processes it to generate the output in the form of useful information to the user.   Data: the raw details that need to be processed to generate some useful information.
